Just a quick clean up of the yard, take a bit off the top. This of course makes fall leaf clean-up a snap.

 Can't see the ocean so I cut the trees across the street. Its not my property but who cares?

So this guy told me that taking off all the branches along the dying tree will keep it strong and upright.

 

Topped Eucalyptus - That should work

Someone did this every year. Just needs a basal cut, but the clean up is too expensive.

 

Slippery slope - thin - stub cut, basal cut

Neighbor was afraid of the tree dropping branches during a storm, so they thinned it out (lion tailed actually) which of course caused branches to drop so they had the ends cut off, and thinned more, then another storm came dropping more, resulting in this.
